At The Art Stables we have a variety of classes for children of all ages and abilities. Our studios are bright and spacious with plenty of room for children to express themselves. Our children's tutors are all highly experienced with children and offer a variety of courses for young artists to learn the drawing skills they need to give them a real boost before they head into secondary school. With our help, they can develop their understanding of form, shade and composition and really learn to see the world around them. Scroll down to see our forthcoming children's workshops and weekly classes. Please also visit our News and Holiday Workshops pages for children's workshops.

NB. The age guidance for groups is approximate. Placement will primarily be based on the child's level of experience in academic drawing and painting rather than their age.
During this course children will learn fundamentals of academic drawing by studying the main geometric shapes, values and tonal shading, the laws of perspective and composition. We plan to cover the following topics:
1) Introduction
2) Laws of Composition
3) Linear perspective of the cube, cuboid & spherical shapes
4) Simple still-lifes.
Children will do observational drawings from life to help them recognise geometrical shapes and develop realistic drawing skills in a fun way.
£168 for 8 week term, all materials included. (trial class - £25). For more information or to book please email: eugenia.alekseyev@gmail.com or t. 0771 4749 784
